Bizak & Co. · Miami · Since 1996

Mail-in jewelry repair, from any state in the U.S.

A bench you can trust with an heirloom is not in every town. That is the whole reason this service exists: the piece travels, you do not. Request a kit from wherever you live, and the same jewelers who work for the Miami trade work on your ring.

Everything here is mail-in. There is no branch to drive to, no counter to queue at, and no difference in price or care between a customer twenty minutes away and a customer three time zones away.

What is exactly the same, wherever you live

Nothing is worked on until you say yes. You pay nothing to get a kit, nothing to ship, and nothing for the inspection. If the number does not suit you, the piece comes home free and insured, exactly as it left.

What distance actually changes

One thing, and only one: how many days the package is in transit. The work on the bench takes what it takes, and it is the same in Miami as it is for a package that started in Oregon.

Most repairs run about one to two weeks door to door, including insured shipping in both directions, and many pieces are back within seven to ten days. We do not process pieces on weekends or public holidays, so a package that lands on a Friday is quoted on the next business day.

If a date matters — an anniversary, a wedding, a trip — write it in the quote form before you ship. Rush service can be quoted up front, but only if we know about it in advance.

How it works from anywhere

Where prices start, wherever you are

These are the lowest starting points for each group of repairs — not the final price. Distance does not change them.

Repair groupCommon repairsStarting at
Rings & BandsRing sizing, prong re-tipping, shank replacement, crack repair, rhodium plating$49
Necklaces & ChainsSoldering broken links, clasp replacement, extenders, pendant bail repair$39

Every piece is inspected and quoted individually. You get one firm number, and nothing is worked on until you approve it. Pearl and bead restringing is quoted the same way.

Who sends jewelry to us by mail

The pattern is remarkably consistent. It is the person whose town has a counter that sends repairs away to somebody unnamed. It is the person who moved states and left behind the jeweler who made the ring. It is the family with a grandmother's brooch that nobody local will touch. And it is the person who simply does not want an irreplaceable piece handled by hands they cannot ask about.

Mail-in answers all four the same way: you get to choose the bench, not the postcode.

If the piece is worth more than a standard limit, say so in the form. Items above standard coverage limits ship by a specialized secured courier with enhanced insurance, arranged at no surprise cost. We can only insure the shipment properly if we know what is inside it — and that has to be settled before the kit goes out, not after.

Where to go next

Frequently asked questions

Do you repair jewelry for customers outside Florida?

Yes. The whole service is mail-in: request a prepaid kit and ship from any state. You never have to leave home. Our bench is in the Seybold Building in Miami, and the piece travels to it and back insured.

How do I get the shipping kit if I do not live near Miami?

It comes by email, not by post, so there is no box to wait for. We email a prepaid, fully insured FedEx label with simple packing instructions. You pack the piece, drop it at any FedEx location, and it is tracked with a signature required at every step.

Does it cost more to ship from further away?

No. Shipping is free in both directions, whichever state you are in, and it is included in the free quote stage. If you decline the quote, the return shipping is free and fully insured as well.

Does living far away make the repair take longer?

Only the transit days change; the bench work does not. Most repairs take about one to two weeks door to door, including insured shipping both ways, and many pieces are back within seven to ten days. We do not process pieces on weekends or public holidays, so a package that arrives Friday is quoted on the next business day.

Is my jewelry insured while it crosses the country?

Yes, both ways, through IFS (In4Sure) — dedicated jewelry cover rather than a carrier's standard parcel limit. The shipment is tracked with a signature required at every step, and items above standard coverage limits ship by a specialized secured courier with enhanced insurance at no surprise cost.

Can I send several pieces from one household in the same kit?

Yes. One kit can hold several pieces. List each one in the quote form so the shipment is insured correctly. Sending several pieces together also qualifies for our package pricing.

Wherever you are, start with a photo.

The kit is free, the quote is free, and nothing is touched until you approve one firm number in writing.
